ChangeVault can post an Adaptive Card to a Microsoft Teams channel whenever a change is logged or updated.
Prerequisites
- A Microsoft Teams channel where you have the Owner or Member role
- A ChangeVault Pro plan or higher
1. Create a Teams Incoming Webhook
- In Teams, open the channel you want to post to
- Click ··· (More options) next to the channel name → Connectors (or Edit channel → Connectors)
- Search for Incoming Webhook and click Configure
- Give it a name (e.g.
ChangeVault) and optionally upload the ChangeVault logo - Click Create and copy the webhook URL
In newer Teams versions, Incoming Webhooks are found under Apps → Manage your apps → Incoming Webhook or via the channel's settings menu.
2. Add the webhook in ChangeVault
- Go to Integrations → Notifications
- Under Microsoft Teams, click Add webhook
- Paste the webhook URL and give it a label
- Click Save
3. Test the connection
Click Test next to the webhook. A test Adaptive Card should appear in your Teams channel.
Message format
Teams messages use Adaptive Cards (version 1.4) and include:
- Change title and risk level badge
- Status
- Service and host (if set)
- Description excerpt (if provided)
- A View change button linking to ChangeVault
